New Endowments Now Easier to Create

Posted by Joshua Shasserre on 05/31/2013

The Catholic Foundation Board of Directors has lowered the threshold required to create a new endowment or donor-advised fund with the Catholic Foundation. Now a new endowment or fund may be begun by an individual or a parish for just $10,000. New endowments may be created by a direct gift of cash, securities, or grain or through a planned gift such as a bequest, gift of retirement funds, life insurance, or charitable trust. All endowments are managed by the Catholic Foundation strictly for the use specified by the donor and are invested in accordance with Catholic moral teaching. Contact the Catholic Foundation for more information on gift planning and the benefits of creating an endowment or donor-advised fund.
