OMAHA (KVSS) – Spirit Catholic Radio recently recognized several individuals from the Lincoln Diocese with awards at the annual “Spirit Celebration Dinner” held at Beacon Hills in Lincoln Feb. 27.
Receiving the Spirit Award was Father Kenneth Borowiak, pastor of St. Michael Parish in Lincoln. The Spirit Award recognizes those who have vigorously championed the Church’s call to employ modern communication techniques for the New Evangelization and who help bring the message of Jesus to Spirit Catholic Radio listeners.
Receiving Spirit of KVSS Awards were Jim and Sue Ruigh of Once Upon a Child in Lincoln; Dr. Bryan and Mary Welty of Capitol Animal Clinic in Lincoln; Dan and Barb Schepers, members of the Spirit Catholic Radio Lincoln Advancement Committee; Father Adam Sughroue, associate pastor at St. John the Apostle Parish in Lincoln; Father Gary Coulter, director of Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House in Waverly; and Father Daniel Rayer, chancellor of the Diocese of Lincoln. The Spirit of KVSS Awards honor individuals or groups whose spiritual gifts, values and life’s work reflect the values, vision and mission of Spirit Catholic Radio and who have devoted time, talent or treasure to the radio apostolate.
