Student entries sought for pro-life video contest

Two winners will receive scholarships toward March for Life trip in January

LINCOLN (SNR) – The Southern Nebraska Register is hosting a pro-life video contest for any high school student in the diocese who can film and make short videos.

He said submitted videos should be 2 to 5 ½ minutes in length, demonstrate basic filming and producing skills, and include a live event, an interview, and a common theme.

The deadline for submitting a video is Oct. 15.

By the end of October, Father Heaslip said, two winners will be selected who will receive a half-scholarship (worth about $190) to join the diocesan trip to the March for Life in D.C. in January 2015. On that trip, the two winning students will serve as production assistants for a Lincoln Diocese March for Live video.
