Two winners will receive scholarships toward March for Life trip in January
LINCOLN (SNR) – The Southern Nebraska Register is hosting a pro-life video contest for any high school student in the diocese who can film and make short videos.
“We are looking for informative, inspiriting, and creative videos that capture one of the many aspects of the pro-life movement,” said Father Andrew Heaslip, recently appointed coordinator of digital media for the Diocese of Lincoln.
He said submitted videos should be 2 to 5 ½ minutes in length, demonstrate basic filming and producing skills, and include a live event, an interview, and a common theme.
The deadline for submitting a video is Oct. 15.
By the end of October, Father Heaslip said, two winners will be selected who will receive a half-scholarship (worth about $190) to join the diocesan trip to the March for Life in D.C. in January 2015. On that trip, the two winning students will serve as production assistants for a Lincoln Diocese March for Live video.
