Clergy appointments for the Diocese of Lincoln 2015

All appointments are effective June 15, 2015, unless otherwise noted

Dean
Very Rev. Kenneth Hoesing, V.F. is appointed Dean of the Falls City Deanery. He retains his current assignments.

Pastors
Rev. Craig Clinch is appointed Pastor of Saint Andrew Parish in Tecumseh and Saint Mary Parish in Saint Mary. He retains his assignment as Co-Chaplain of Frassati young adult apostolate and relieved of his assignment as Advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal.

Rev. Thomas Dunavan is appointed Pastor of Saints Peter and Paul Parish in Falls City, and Chief Administrative Officer at Falls City Sacred Heart School.

Rev. Jonathan Haschke is appointed Pastor of Sacred Heart and Assumption Parishes in Roseland and teacher at Saint Cecilia High School in Hastings. He retains his assignments as Advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal and Assistant Diocesan Pro-Life Director.

Rev. Benjamin Holdren is appointed Pastor of Saint Peter and Saint Joseph Parishes in Bellwood, and teacher at Aquinas/Saint Mary Catholic Schools in David City. He is relieved of his assignment as Advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal.

Rev. Raymond Jansen is appointed Pastor of Assumption Parish in Dwight. He retains his assignments as teacher at Saint Gregory the Great Seminary and member of the Loma Czech Shrine Board.

Rev. Nicholas Kipper is appointed Pastor of Saint James in Cortland. He retains his assignment as Editor of the Southern Nebraska Register, and is relieved of all teaching duties as well as his assignments as Advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal and Director of the TV Mass for the homebound.

Rev. Leo Kosch is appointed Pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Lincoln. He retains his assignment as Victim Assistance Coordinator for the diocese.

Rev. Michael Morin is appointed Pastor of Saint James Parish in Mead, and Chief Administrative Officer of Bishop Neumann Jr./Sr. High School in Wahoo. He retains his assignments as Director of the Apostleship of Prayer and Enthronement of the Sacred Heart, and Chaplain of Retrouvaille.

Rev. Jerel Scholl is appointed Pastor of Saint Paulinus Parish in Syracuse and Holy Trinity Parish in Avoca. He is also assigned to teach at Lourdes Central Catholic School in Nebraska City.

Rev. Leo Seiker is appointed Pastor of Saint Joseph Parish in Colon and Saint Mary Parish in Cedar Bluffs, and teacher at Bishop Neumann Jr./Sr. High School in Wahoo. He retains his assignment as Diocesan Pro-Life Director.

Rev. Michael Stec is appointed Pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish in Ulyssess and teacher at Aquinas/Saint Mary Catholic Schools in David City. He retains his assignment as Assistant Director of Ministry to the Deaf.

Rev. Lawrence Stoley is appointed Pastor of Saint Joseph Parish in Friend. He retains his assignment as Academic Dean at St. Gregory the Great Seminary in Seward.

Rev. Matthew Zimmer is appointed Pastor of Saint John the Baptist Parish in Prague and Saints Cyril and Methodius Parish in Plasi, and teacher at Bishop Neumann Jr./Sr. High School. He retains his assignments as Advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal and Diocesan Chaplain for Scouts.

Parochial Vicars
Rev. Patrick Barvick is appointed Parochial Vicar at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ in Lincoln, teacher at Pius X High School in Lincoln, Assistant Diocesan Master of Ceremonies, and Advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal.

Rev. David Gayhart is appointed Parochial Vicar at Saint Joseph Parish in Lincoln, teacher at Pius X High School in Lincoln, and Advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal.

Rev. Steven Mills is appointed Parochial Vicar at Saint Thomas Aquinas/ Newman Center in Lincoln, Assistant Diocesan Director of Vocations, teacher Pius X High School in Lincoln, and Advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal.

Rev. Gorantla Kishore Raju, a priest of the Diocese of Nalgonda in India, is appointed Parochial Vicar at Saint Teresa Parish in Lincoln.

Rev. Adam Sparling is appointed Parochial Vicar at Saint Teresa Parish in Lincoln, teacher at Pius X High School in Lincoln, and Advocate on the Diocesan Tribunal.

Special Assignments
Rev. Thomas Brouillette is relieved of his appointment as Pastor at Sacred Heart in Roseland and its mission parish, Assumption. He is appointed to be in residence at St. Cecilia Parish in Hastings and retains his assignment as Chief Administrative Officer of Hastings Catholic Schools.

Rev. Jay Buhman is released from the Diocese of Lincoln and appointed to serve as FOCUS Chaplain effective May 26, 2015.

Rev. Andrew Heaslip is appointed Director of the TV Mass for the homebound and retains his current assignments.

Rev. Lee Jirovsky is appointed to serve as Assistant Chief Administrative Officer at Pius X High School in Lincoln with residence at Sacred Heart Parish in Lincoln.

Rev. Brian Kane is released from the Diocese of Lincoln and appointed Dean of Men at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, for three years.

Rev. Daniel Rayer is relieved of his assignment to assist at Sacred Heart Parish in Lincoln, retains his other assignments, and is appointed Chaplain to the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of Mary, Queen of Mercy.

Rev. Rafael Rodriguez-Fuentes is appointed Director of Spanish-speaking Ministry Training and Language Instruction for Lincoln seminarians and retains his current assignments.

Rev. Msgr. Daniel Seiker is appointed Assistant Spiritual Director at Saint Gregory the Great Seminary, and Pro-Director of the Newman Institute for Catholic Thought and Culture (at St. Thomas Aquinas/Newman Center in Lincoln) with residence at St. Gregory the Great Seminary in Seward.

Rev. Steven Snitily is appointed Judge on the Diocesan Tribunal and to begin the planning process for the tribunal outreach mission. He retains his assignment as Parochial Vicar at Saint Peter Parish in Lincoln.

Rev. Joseph Tatro, a priest of the Diocese of Wichita, is accepted to serve as Catholic Social Services Intern with residence at Saint Thomas Aquinas Parish/Newman Center in Lincoln, as of August 3, 2015.

Retired
Rev. Msgr. Robert Roh’s request for retirement is accepted. He is relieved of his appointments as Dean of the Falls City Deanery, Pastor of Saints Peter and Paul Parish in Falls City, and Chief Administrative Officer of Falls City Sacred Heart School. He will reside in Falls City.
