Emeritus Pope sends message to Aquinas High School

DAVID CITY (SNR) - Father Benjamin Holdren, senior theology teacher at Aquinas High School in David City, wrote a letter to Emeritus Pope Benedict XVI, asking him to pray for Aquinas. Father Holdren’s brother Alan, who works for Catholic News Agency/EWTN News, was able to present the letter Oct. 7 (pictured above).

Alan told His Holiness Benedict XVI that Father Holdren works with young people at Aquinas. The emeritus pope replied, “Young people need to know the Church is not dead, but living.”
