Lincoln parish plans annual ‘Winterfest’

LINCOLN (SNR) - St. Mary Parish in Lincoln will hold its annual “Winterfest” event Saturday, Jan. 30, from 5 to 8:30 p.m.

St. Mary Church is located at 1420 K St. in Lincoln.

The annual event raises funds for the general operation of the parish. It was started in 2009 by pastor Father Douglas Dietrich as an alternative to all the area fall dinners and “to celebrate winter, the best of the four seasons.”

The meal features homemade “Bunzas,” a personal recipe of Father Dietrich’s, and also includes hot dogs, soup, desserts and drinks.

Winterfest also includes a silent auction, bingo, a raffle with large prizes, and a children’s games area.
