Mass with prayers for healing celebrated on Pentecost

LINCOLN (SNR) – Father Christopher Barak celebrated a Mass with prayers for healing on Pentecost May 15 in the chapel of the John XXIII Diocesan Center.

Father William Kalin and Father Steven Snitily heard confessions before Mass and helped with the anointing of the sick after the Gospel and homily.

After Benediction, Father Barak took the Eucharistic Lord in a monstrance to the people in each pew.

The next Masses with prayers for healing will be celebrated Aug. 14 and Nov. 27.

The Pentecost Mass was preceded by a vigil celebration of song, praise and Adoration. Members of the St. Benedict prayer team, who plan the Masses, interceded for the world and its leaders, the country, diocese, all parishes and families. After Exposition and Benediction, members shared testimonies of what the Holy Spirit has done in individuals’ lives.
