LINCOLN (SNR) - Magnificat of Lincoln is taking reservations for a prayer meal with speaker Teresa Anne Sorensen Saturday, Aug. 13, at 9:30 a.m. in at Hillcrest Country Club, 9401 E. O St., Lincoln.
Sorensen became involved in the Charismatic Movement while in college at the University of Nebraska Kearney. She and her husband Dan have been married for 39 years and have four children. They are members of Prince of Peace Parish in Kearney. Teresa, a retired dietitian, worked part-time through the years at W.I.C., Headstart and low-income health clinics. Teresa’s Magnificat is the theme of God’s love in her life, “A Time for Every Season.” She will share how her faith sustained her through infertility and adoption; the deaths of five family members in four years; and currently, her mother’s dementia. Teresa will include many blessings and joys such as their oldest son, Jonathan, becoming a priest. He serves Our Lord at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Scottsbluff.
The Aug. 13 event includes breakfast, fellowship, praise and worship, a teaching by spiritual advisor Msgr. Paul Witt, and Teresa Sorensen’s testimony.
