Contest to include Catholic high schools for the first time
OMAHA (SCR/SNR) – Spirit Catholic Radio announced its fifth annual Superstar Catholic Schools Contest to coincide with Catholic Schools Week, Jan. 30 through Feb. 4.
New this year, the contest has been expanded to include Catholic high schools. All Catholic elementary schools and Catholic high schools in the Spirit Catholic Radio listening area of western Nebraska, central Nebraska, southern Nebraska, northeast Nebraska, eastern Nebraska and western Iowa, are eligible to win the contest.
The Superstar Catholic School Contest is a voting contest in which the three Catholic elementary schools and three Catholic high schools with the most votes at the end of the week will win an on-air interview during the Spirit Mornings show, $1,000 worth of on-air spots that promote what makes the school unique, a feature on spiritcatholicradio.com, a prayer card for each student in the school, Mystic Monk Coffee for the faculty and staff lounge, and a Superstar trophy.
Voting begins Jan. 30 at 6 a.m. CST at spiritcatholicradio.com and ends Feb. 4 at 12 a.m. CST (midnight). Each person voting can vote for one elementary school and one high school and may vote one time. Everyone voting will be entered to win prizes that will be given away Feb. 6. The winning schools will be announced Monday, Feb. 6 during the Spirit Mornings show.
