The Natural Family Planning (NFP) Office provides information for multiple USCCB approved methods of NFP.  Natural Family Planning methods are based on the observation of naturally occurring signs and symptoms of the fertile and infertile phases of the menstrual cycle. The Diocese of Lincoln currently offers NFP classes, taught by trained and certified teachers, in the Creighton Model and Marquette methods.  An approved Introductory Session in one of the methods is mandatory for engaged couples.  Any woman or couple interested in learning more about NFP is invited to attend an Introductory Session.  See the Natural Family Planning page for more information.

Catholic Concerns/Bereavement Programs

The Catholic Church strives to support families in the grieving process after the loss of a loved one. This takes place through spiritual devotions such as the Mass and rosary, and then joining in small group settings for support and education. When necessary, individual counseling is also available through the Family Life Office and Catholic Social Services. Non-Catholics are welcome to take part in these programs as well.

Divorce Ministry: support for those who have experienced separation or divorce, offering Catholics fellowship, spiritual enrichment and educational presentations.

Healing Hearts (Grief Outreach): a program of support, healing and recovery for adult Catholics who have experienced the loss of a loved one, grieving a recent death in their family.

Project Rachel (Post-Abortion Healing): an outreach to understand and help heal the psychological and spiritual pain of abortion.

When a Baby Dies: a Healing Hearts program especially for parents who have lost an infant (SIDS) or had a miscarriage or stillbirth. The Mass on the Feast of the Holy Innocents, December 28th is in honor of such babies who have died.
