Spirit Catholic Radio Appoints Development Directors in Lincoln, Grand Island

OMAHA (KVSS/SNR) – Spirit Catholic Radio announced Dec. 21 the appointment of Ryan Broker as the station’s new Lincoln development director and Scott Bonham as the station’s new Grand Island development director.

As two additions to the network’s team of development personnel, Broker and Bonham will work to assist Spirit Catholic Radio in proclaiming the Gospel message over the airwaves throughout Nebraska and Iowa. Both Broker and Bonham will begin their positions after the first of the year.

Broker and Bonham will each be responsible for ensuring that the station’s mission of evangelization is sustained and advanced through oversight of annual and planned giving campaigns, communications, public relations and through coordination of the station’s semi-annual, on-air fundraising and membership drive. Broker will work from Spirit Catholic Radio’s Lincoln studios at 2241 O Street, communicating with and serving listeners in the Lincoln Diocese and Bonham will work from Spirit Catholic Radio’s Grand Island studios at 828 N. Diers Avenue. His duties will cover the 91.5 FM Central Nebraska and 90.1 FM North Platte listening areas.

Both will work closely with Omaha Development Director Bernie Schaefer and members of the network’s professional staff.

Broker holds a bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Ind. A member of the Knights of Columbus, Ryan also serves as vice-president of the Lincoln Arts Council and as a board member for Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra. Ryan has previously served in public and government relations and staff development positions for the State of Nebraska and in the office of Congressman Jeff Fortenberry. Ryan and his wife Kim live in Lincoln and have four children. They are members of Cathedral of the Risen Christ in Lincoln.

Bonham is a graduate of St. Cecilia High School in Hastings, attended Central Nebraska Community College Hastings campus, and is a graduate of the Sergeant Major Academy at Fort Bliss, Texas. He is retired from the natural gas industry, having worked for SourceGas in central Nebraska for 35 years. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus, a volunteer at Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings, member of the Hastings Evening Lions Club and is a member of American Legion Post 300 in Doniphan. Bonham also served in the Nebraska Army National Guard and U.S. Army Reserves over 25 years, attaining the rank of Command Sergeant Major. He has been involved with Spirit Catholic Radio as a volunteer and member of the Central Nebraska Advisory Committee since its inception. Bonham and his wife Deb live in Hastings and are members of St. Michael Parish. They have two married children and four grandchildren.
