Catholic musician plans presentation in Indianola

INDIANOLA (SNR) – Catholic musician and entertainer Terry Little will present his “Acoustic Christmas - A Musical Journey from Advent to Epiphany” program Nov. 22 at 2 p.m. in St. Catherine Church in Indianola.

Little said the 75-minute concert “captures the spirit of the liturgical season beginning with the joyful anticipation during Advent, continuing on to the celebration of the birth of the Christ child at Christmas, and finally to the visit of the Magi and the first revelation of Christ to the Gentiles at Epiphany.”

The program includes traditional and contemporary Christmastide songs, along with scripture and stories in an acoustic setting with just six- and 12-string guitar accompaniment. There is no charge to attend, and it is open to the public.

Little will also lead song at the 9 a.m. Sunday Mass Nov. 22. There will be a parish luncheon at noon.

A convert to the Catholic faith, Little has ministered to congregations and entertained audiences around the world for 45 years. An accomplished musician and songwriter, he has appeared on EWTN’s “Life on the Rock” television show and has several albums to his credit.

Little, who is director of music at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth, will also perform at several other Nebraska locations in December.
