PLATTSMOUTH (SNR) – Nebraska musician and entertainer Terry Little will hold the 23rd annual “Coffee House” Feb. 6 at the St. John School gymnasium in Plattsmouth.
The evening of folk music will be held from 6:30 p.m. until midnight, and will feature the talents of local and regional artists including John Kool, The Old Krusty Minstrels, Tom Lucas, 37 Years, Steve Reed, Jonathan Little, Nancy and Halle McCartney, and Scott Ussery.
There is no charge to attend, however, freewill donations will benefit a parish youth ministry/young adult program.
The coffee house event is an evening for adults only. Coffee and refreshments will be served, but attendees are invited to bring snacks and beverages to share. Attendees are also invited to dress in 60s and 70s coffee house style, as prizes will be awarded.
The coffee house started 22 years ago in Terry’s basement. About 50 friends gathered for songs and stories from the 60s and 70s. The next year it moved to the school gym so that more people could attend. It has become an annual celebration on the first Saturday of February and has drawn crowds of up to 400.
Little has ministered in music to congregations and entertained audiences around the world for the past 45 years. An accomplished musician and songwriter, he has appeared on EWTN’s “Life on the Rock” and has several albums to his credit. Little is director of music at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth.
