‘MOMs’ group plans Nov. 5 event

LINCOLN (SNR) — Lincoln Mothers on a Mission will hold its monthly meeting Saturday, Nov. 5 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the John XXIII Diocesan Center, 3700 Sheridan Blvd., Lincoln.

Mary Monahan, who runs “Macaroni Kid” for the Lincoln area, will present “Holly Jolly Hints” with her holiday tricks and winter fun tips for kids. To learn about her work, visit http://lincoln.macaronikid.com/.

Lincoln Mothers on a Mission (MOMs) is designed to serve Catholic mothers within a community that understands the many roles of a mother’s life. MOMS works to serve as a source of spiritual and emotional nourishment, foster supportive friendships, and instill joy as members strive to live their vocations to the fullest.

“Most importantly,” said member Hannah Christensen, “we seek to build upon a mother’s personal relationship with our all loving and merciful God.”

All mothers in the Lincoln area are invited to the group’s meetings the first Saturday of each month to listen to an inspiring speaker, engage in small group discussions and socialize.

Coffee, snacks and childcare are provided with an online sign-up. A recommended free-will donation of $5 for each meeting is suggested.

Childcare drop-off and social time begins at 8:30 a.m. The talk and discussions are held from 9 to 10 and social time continues until 10:30.
