LINCOLN (SNR) – The St. Teresa Thrift Store will hold its annual Christmas Boutique Oct. 26-29 at St. Teresa’s Kazmarek Hall, 735 S. 36th St., Lincoln.
St. Teresa’s Thrift Shop, which benefits both St. Teresa School and Parish in Lincoln, has been in business for more than 35 years. In 2015 they moved to their current location, 643 S. 25th St., Suite 1, a move that’s served them well. However, for the seventh year, they are bringing their Christmas wares to the church hall.
The hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. All are welcome to shop at the ‘on-site’ boutique – an elevator to the basement hall is available – for ornaments, mangers and other decorations, festive clothing, and Christmas cards. There are also toys and jewelry by the lot.
“As you enter the boutique, you will be overcome with joy,” volunteer Rose LeCorgne said. She encouraged visitors to come and spend time browsing their selection.
The thrift store tithes $2,000 per month to the parish, and also gives funds toward other projects, such as remodeling in the school and convent. They also give to other charities such as missions and pregnancy centers.
The store is run by the “Thrift Shop Angels,” but Le Corgne said their numbers are dwindling, mostly due to age.
“In order for the thrift shop to continue to serve God’s people,” she said, “we need volunteers. As little or as much time as you would be willing to donate would be so greatly appreciated.”

The normal business hours at the 25th and Randolph site are Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The store accepts cash and checks.
