FALLS CITY (SNR) - Msgr. Robert Roh, who recently retired as pastor of Ss. Peter and Paul Parish in Falls City, will be honored on the 50th anniversary of his ordination Sunday, July 12, at 4 p.m. at Prichard Auditorium, 312 W 17th St., Falls City.
Msgr. Roh, who was ordained July 11, 1965, has served as pastor of Ss. Peter and Paul Parish and superintendent of Sacred Heart School in Falls City for the past 27 years.
Ss. Peter and Paul Parish invite the public to the event - parishioners will provide the potluck meal.
On the same afternoon, the new Activities Center at Sacred Heart School will be open from 1 to 3 p.m. for anyone wishing to tour the new facilities.
The new addition to the school includes a gymnasium, a new lunch room and commons area, a new P.E. facility and weight room, a new venue for concerts and presentations, and a practice facility that will also be used for junior high games.
The school’s existing Tiehen Gym, built in 1924, will be used as a practice gym and for elementary indoor recess time and supervised public activities. As the new building is situated on the old elementary school playground, a new playground will be installed.
The project was funded through the “RENEW 125” campaign, which also raised funds for teacher salaries.
The campaign involved direct solicitation, a phone-a-thon, and gifts pledged over a five-year period.
