David Clayton to present ‘The Way of Beauty’
LINCOLN (SNR) - The Newman Institute for Catholic Thought and Culture and the Diocese of Lincoln Liturgical Commission will sponsor a lecture by guest speaker David Clayton at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, at the St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center, 320 N. 16th St., Lincoln.
“David Clayton is a brilliant teacher and a very interesting speaker,” said Bishop James Conley. “I think that families, priests, religious sisters, teachers, seminarians and students would all benefit from hearing his remarks.”
The title of the lecture is “The Way of Beauty.”
“Beauty is a way in which God speaks into our hearts to give us a foretaste of the source of all beauty in the Most Holy Trinity,” Bishop Conley said.
David Clayton is an artist, writer, and teacher and a graduate of Oxford University in England. He is provost of Pontifex University and is a visiting fellow at Thomas More College of Liberal Arts in New Hampshire.
