By Fr. Justin Fulton

Our sisters at St. Gianna Women’s Homes are remarkable. I share with you a letter written from Sisters Karen, Bernadette, and Carol to the women of St. Gianna’s:

Dear Ladies,

During the month of November, Father Fulton and we three sisters would like to offer prayers for your intentions, especially any deceased loved ones of yours. We always keep you in our prayers but if there are special prayers you want us to pray for: —for a family member, good health, finding a job, housing, etc., we ask that you take a minute and stop in the chapel. You will find a box of colored paper in the back pew. Write your intention and put it in the jar with the orange fall ribbon by the altar. We will not look at your personal requests but we will pray for all the special intentions you place in the jar.

We are all feeling the effects of COVID and we especially pray for the spiritual, physical and mental well-being of you and your children. We ask for your prayers for us as well. Thank you.

God bless each of you.
The Sisters

Our sisters’ love for the women and children of St. Gianna’s is unparalleled. Their care for them materially is only outdone in their care for them spiritually. We are humbled by the sisters’ presence in the lives of the women and children of St. Gianna Women’s Homes. They are remarkable apostles of compassion in this present day. They are strong women. They are leaders in this community and in the Kingdom of God.

We want to extend our invitation of prayers for the ladies and children of St. Gianna’s to all of you… Please, if you have deceased loved ones or special intentions you would like us to pray for during the month of November, mail them to us at CSS, 2241 O St, Lincoln, NE, 68510. We will include your intentions and your deceased loved ones in our daily prayers and our Masses throughout the month of November.

Everything we do here at CSS is derivative of the spiritual reality that we will all meet God someday. Our love for Christ is seen in our material outreach. We are humbled to be able to pray for all of you. We are all united in the Mystical Body of Christ and we look forward to the day when we are all experiencing Eternal Life with our loved ones and our God in the Halls of the Heavenly Kingdom.

Let us pray for our beloved dead during this month of November.

Thank you for your support and prayers for Catholic Social Services of Southern Nebraska. Let us all live greatly in the love of the Blessed Trinity!
God bless and keep you always.
