Catholic author and speaker Sarah Swafford gave a keynote address at a kickoff event for the Women’s Ministry at St. Michael Parish in Lincoln. The event was held Sept. 3 at the Ring Family Barn and included time for prayer and adoration. The organization’s mission is to create meaningful opportunities for women to connect, belong, and grow together in the parish community, while inviting the Holy Spirit to guide a more intimate relationship with Christ. The theme for Swafford’s talk was “Women of Christ on Mission.”
Swafford is the author of “Emotional Virtue: A Guide to Drama-free Relationships” and cohost of EWTN’s “At the Heart of Relationships.” The Women’s Ministry will begin a 10-week study, “Belonging,” written by parishioner Coty Ring. The study aims to invite each woman into a sacred journey of discovering that the longing for God is not accidental or unmet, but an echo of God’s own desire for each person.
