Only Jesus Christ can take manure and make it a fertilizing agent, giving growth to seeds which will fuel and feed His children.

Only Jesus Christ can take dark clouds and heavy rain and bring about a glorious rainbow for the world to behold.

Only Jesus Christ can take the darkest of night and make it a perfect backdrop so that the brightest and most brilliant of stars show through it.

Only Jesus Christ can take the anxieties, brokenness, and weakness of human beings and bring about peace, reconciliation, joy, and redemption.

Only Jesus Christ can take the worries and panic over a war and turn it into a force that brings about unity in the world and a deeper awareness, respect, and care for the gift of human life.

Only Jesus Christ can take the crushed brokenness of wheat and the pulverized grapes of the earth and turn them into Heavenly Food and Drink.

Only Jesus Christ can take what led to humanity’s great Fall—a tree of wood—and turn it into a Triumph—the Cross of wood—which leads to the Resurrection.

Only Jesus Christ can take death and turn it into Eternal Life.

Only Jesus Christ, the One Eternal Source—the Alpha and the Omega—can give you lasting and eternal peace.

Jesus Christ’s first words in Matthew 28—upon leaving the Tomb after defeating all sin and death and crushing all of our fears—were “Be Not Afraid.”

Let us take those words to heart this Easter Season and always. In the midst of all that the world is experiencing right now, let us live those words. He asks us to be not afraid. May we allow Him into our lives knowing that Eternal Life and His Resurrection triumphs over all sin, anxiety, disease, and death.

If you have not found Jesus Christ in Scripture, in prayer, and in the Sacraments of His Catholic Church, we at Catholic Social Services of Southern Nebraska invite you to do so.
Thank you for your prayers, support, and faith in Jesus Christ. God bless and keep you all!
