‘Lincoln Family Fest’ to be Aug. 17

LINCOLN (SNR) – The 2019 “Lincoln Family Fest” will be held Aug. 17 at 11401 Van Dorn St., two miles east of 84th and Van Dorn streets.

The theme is “Fostering Faith with Family Fun and Fellowship.”

Bishop James Conley will celebrate an outdoor Mass at 5 p.m., followed by family games.

Water will be provided and Raising Canes food will be available for purchase.

The featured band “VOTA” will begin performing at 7 and the event will conclude at 8 p.m.

Free-will donations will be accepted to benefit the “Friends in Faith Endowed Fund” at Pius X High School in Lincoln. The “Friends in Faith” host evangelical events and opportunities in the community, to foster family life and one’s personal relationship with God. They most recently hosted a screening of the pro-life movie “Unplanned” in Lincoln.
