The Encounter School of Identity will be presented in a weekend conference Aug. 21-22 at St. Mary Parish in David City.
The program of teaching, music, prayer and fellowship invites participants to deeper relationship with the Lord.
The weekend is called a ‘school’ to teach people how to pray and how to open oneself to God’s blessings. It seeks to be transformative, not just informative.
Speakers include Father Caleb Hile, pastor of Ss. Peter and Paul in Abie and St. Anthony in Bruno; Father Walter Nolte, pastor of St. Patrick Parish in Fremont; Father Michael Voithafer of the Archdiocese of Omaha and founder of Ablaze House of Prayer; and Lenore Rezac, a member of a member of St. Mary Parish in Denton.
The weekend conference begins Friday at 5:30 p.m. in the church at 580 I St. in David City, with music followed by an opening session, “Identity & Hearing God’s Voice.”
Saturday’s schedule runs from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and includes several sessions: “Renewal of the Mind,” “Students of the Supernatural,” “The Power of Peace” and “Baptism of the Holy Spirit.” Each session blends dynamic teaching with practical formation, providing tools to live out the Catholic faith more fully.
