The Newman Center on the campus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln held a “Theology on Tap” Oct. 27 at The Boiler Room in downtown Lincoln. Bishop James Conley spoke to students about human dignity in the light of artificial intelligence, referencing Pope Leo XIV’s Magnifica humanitas, and answered questions from students.

Theology on Tap began in the Archdiocese of Chicago in 1981 and has been replicated in dioceses and parishes around the United States and abroad. It provides a venue for people – especially young people – to share their faith with one another in a relaxed atmosphere.
