Resource Coordinator

St. Michael Catholic School is seeking a Resource Coordinator to join our school in leading the student support team. The Resource Coordinator works collaboratively with administration, teachers, families, and outside partners to ensure students receive the academic, behavioral, and individualized supports they need to thrive.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative, organized, student-centered educator who understands that effective student support begins with knowing the whole child and equipping teachers with the tools and resources necessary to meet student needs.
Primary Responsibilities
The Resource Coordinator will:
- Coordinate the school's MTSS/SAP process, including referrals, intervention planning, progress monitoring, documentation, and follow-up.
- Coordinate services and communication for students with IEPs, MDTs, 504 Plans, health-related accommodations, and other individualized student needs.
- Schedule and facilitate student support meetings with teachers, families, administration, and outside partners.
- Serve as a primary liaison with Lincoln Public Schools and other educational/service providers regarding student evaluations and services.
- Lead and support the school's Resource Team, helping ensure interventions and services are aligned with identified student needs.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement appropriate academic interventions, accommodations, and modifications.
- Support teachers in understanding and implementing student plans with consistency and fidelity.
- Coordinate Tier 2 and Tier 3 academic and behavioral supports in collaboration with administration and the school counselor.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student-services records and ensure required documentation is current and accessible to appropriate personnel.
- Monitor student progress and use assessment, intervention, behavioral, and classroom data to guide decisions.
- Communicate regularly and compassionately with families regarding student needs, supports, progress, and next steps.
- Assist with referrals for evaluations, outside services, and additional supports when appropriate.
- Support effective student transitions between grade levels, programs, and schools.
- Collaborate with administration regarding standardized assessments, student data, instructional resources, and other student-services needs.
- Help develop systems and procedures that provide clarity, consistency, and continuity in student support across the school.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess:
- A strong understanding of Special Education, MTSS, Response to Intervention, and student support systems.
- Knowledge of IEPs, MDTs, 504 Plans, accommodations, interventions, and progress monitoring.
- Experience working collaboratively with teachers, families, administrators, and outside educational partners.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple student needs, meetings, timelines, and confidential records.
- A commitment to supporting teachers while maintaining high expectations for student growth.
- An understanding of elementary and middle school development and instructional practices.
- A desire to contribute positively to the Catholic mission and culture of St. Michael Catholic School.
Teaching and/or special education experience is strongly preferred. Appropriate Nebraska certification or credentials are preferred based upon the candidate's background and responsibilities assigned.
