Sacred Heart Student Council hosted the American Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday, November 27th at Prichard Auditorium from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. An amazing turn out produced 111 units for the Red Cross surpassing the goal of 96. The Student Council would like to thank all the donors for their contributions, but also for their patience as a large turnout meant a longer than usual wait time. The students spent many hours prior to the blood drive calling donors, setting up appointments, and preparing food for the canteen. The Sacred Heart student body assisted in the set up with the Red Cross and the event was staffed by Student Council Sponsors Mrs. Angie Taft and Mrs. Christina Wertenberger. Student Council parents assisted in the cleanup and tear down with the Red Cross. The Student Council would like to extend a huge thank you to Cargill for donating the lunch meat for the canteen, to Mr. Stuckemeyer for his assistance in making the donation possible, and to Mrs. Linda Frederick and Mrs. Mary Barker for all their help and guidance.
