Mr. Tony Primavera has accepted another principal position. As he moves on, Mr. Tony Primavera will be remembered for the years he was the principal of the Cathedral of the Risen Christ Elementary School. Mr. Primavera came to Lincoln in 1997, and was hired as the school principal by Monsignor Dawson, who was the Rector of the Cathedral at that time. Mr. Primavera worked with many teachers through the years, and 15 of them remain on staff at the school as Mr. Primavera moves out of the city.
Besides the daily chores of the principal, Mr. Primavera used opportunities to assist the students and their parents to support each other in their ultimate goal of preparation for eternity with God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit by inviting them to times of prayer and adoration here on earth. He knew that one comes to know and love God by spending time with Him. A new set of programs that Mr. Primavera began for the 7 & 8 grade students were the Soldiers of St. Sebastian for the boys, and the Advocates of St. Angela for the girls, and for the 5 & 6 grade students, the Cadets, and Daughters of Mary. He also introduced Church Latin in prayer and song as a class for the 6th,7th, and 8th grade students.
Mr. Primavera was anxious to have the children know and love the truth in all areas of the curriculum, and prayed for them. The students have grown academically and spiritually under his administration. We wish and pray for the very best in his newest educational endeavors.
