St. Joseph School, Beatrice, celebrated Family Science Night on March 26. The evening featured fun science activities with friends and family. In the activity “Float or Sink” they learned that some objects can both float and sink based on how they are placed in the water and their surface area. Students loved creating and experimenting with catapults; comparing the results of various objects, including Mentos, mixed with soda; building bridges, constructing windmills, converting potential to kinetic energy, and exploring food safety. Who knew science could be so much fun!
