Eagles Gear Up to DASH Against Cancer
In the fall of 2014 the Cathedral family was reminded that cancer can affect anyone, including our children. When third grader Joseph Hibler was diagnosed with Leukemia it brought to the forefront of our hearts and minds that life is so very precious. As a family we stood up to help The Hiblers with fundraising and prayer demonstrating what it means to be a Catholic. We continue the fight against pediatric cancer with The Eagle Dash on February 13th.
The Eagle Dash is a one mile walk/run to raise awareness and money for pediatric cancer research. All proceeds will be donated to The John Paul II Medical Research Institute. All Eagles are encouraged to participate and reach out to others to help the cause either by donating or walking themselves.
Check in will begin at 8:15 (after 7:30am Mass, which runners are encouraged to attend) in the parking lot between the school and church. The dash will be divided into two “heats” - runners first, then walkers. Coffee and rolls will be served in the church basement immediately following The Dash, and pets are more than welcome to join the fun.
Registration forms will be accepted up to race time, but all are encouraged to register ahead of time. Cash and check donations may be dropped off at the school office.
