Sacred Heart Catholic School in Lincoln published their first ever newspaper, the JCOS Tribune. JCOS stands for “Jesus Christ, Our Savior”. This name was created by and voted on by the student members of the club.  The newspaper club was started in March of this year under the direction of Ms. Ally Scolaro, a fourth grade teacher at Sacred Heart.  There are 21 students in the club in grades 6-8. The club elected two 8th grade Editors in Chief, Addieana Gonzales and Helena Tran, shown holding the first edition in the photo. The first publication of the newspaper contained original art work, jokes, interviews, scripture quotes, game reviews and classroom stars for each grade as well as a teacher of the quarter.  The newspaper will be published quarterly. The main goal of the paper is to educate, entertain, and evangelize both the students and staff through creative writing. If you would like an electronic copy of the newspaper sent to you, please contact the school office at 402-476-1783.
