Piedmont recently held a historic election to elect the first ever Mayor of Piedmont. This facetious election was a way to help raise money for nonprofits and levity to the current election cycle.  Every penny collected in a candidate’s jar was equal to one vote.  Students held signs, in front of school, in support of their candidate, donated their pennies and used the power of prayer.   Half of the $1,283.74 raised will go toward an upcoming renovation of St. Teresa School and the other half to the Children’s hospital wing at Bryan LGH.  Miss Hoeller, Mayor of Piedmont, has devoted the past nine years to her students and the feelings of dedication are mutual!  “And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19  Miss Hoeller is seen in front of the Piedmont marque with the key to the area.  St. Teresa Student Council members, assistant pastor Father Sparling and the principal, Sister Anne Joelle helped Miss Hoeller to celebrate.
