Everyone at St. John the Baptist School, in Plattsmouth, is working hard to get ready for their performances and celebrations during Grandparents' Day on Monday, October 3rd! The kindergarteners will sing “If you're happy & you know it..." and "God Made the Earth." Third grade will be teaming up with the fourth and fifth grade to present an action packed song trio. They will be doing "Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord" from Godspell, "All About My Gramps" (to the tune of "All About That Bass"), and a cups routine to "Cello Wars" by The Piano Guys. Not only will you be filled with the Lord, but we will make you want to boogie along with us. The junior high is preparing for their annual lip-syncing and dancing acts which will be performed to the theme of the Wild West. The audience will have the opportunity to see cows, a mule, and some country celebrities from the past and present.
After the program, all of the students and their grandparents will continue the fun in the classrooms. For example, the third graders and their grandparents will play Grandparent Bingo and complete a craft while the 5th graders play Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader. Thank you to all the teachers and staff members for the long hours you put in, behind the scenes, to pull it all off and make it look easy. Hope you can join us!
