S.T.A.G.E. Theatre will present “A Day in the Arts” at The Sacred Heart Center for the Arts, 540 N. 31st St., Lincoln.
The fundraising event will be presented Friday, Oct. 2 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m., beginning with an original one-act play written by Lee Hotovy, “Living on the Ceiling,” a humorous and meaningful take on living simplistically. It will feature Joe Neuhaus who recently portrayed Father Flanagan, Julie Johnson, David Barkmeier, Tatum Maley and Charlotte Brennan.
After the play, guests may participate in conversation on the arts over elegant refreshments. Art will be displayed throughout the art center, both by local Catholic artists and collections of friends of STAGE. A short presentation on the symbolism of certain religious works will be presented by Father Jamie Hottovy as part of the evening’s event.
Proceeds from tickets and donations will help support S.T.A.G.E. Visit stage4kids.com to register. Walk-in guests are welcome. The event is recommended for adults and mature teens.
