Healing retreat Jan. 19-21 in Waverly

WAVERLY (SNR) - All men and women are invited to a three-day healing retreat with Father William Holoubek, entitled “Unbound: Breaking Free from Spiritual Wounds.”

The retreat will be held Jan. 19-21 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House in Waverly.

Unbound is an apostolate that helps people find freedom from wounds, sins and other troubles that compromise their joy in Christ. It involves recognizing and identifying the sources of one’s woundedness, in order to understand and discover how to embrace change that gives freedom.

Unbound focuses on providing a safe, practical model that helps people respond to the Gospel and apply the Lord’s grace, love and truth to their lives. It is based on the book, “Unbound: A Practical Guide to Deliverance” by Neal Lozano. More information is available at www.lincolndiocese.org/unbound about the book’s “five keys” that enable people to experience a profound conversion experience.

Prayer teams from the Unbound ministry will be available on the retreat, to pray with participants using the five keys. Retreatants are asked to have read the first nine chapters of the Unbound book if they would like to have a member of the ministry team pray with them.

Father Holoubek, ordained a priest in 1997, is pastor of St. Mary Parish in Ashland and St. Joseph Parish in Greenwood, and is director of the Diocesan Mission Office. He launched the Unbound ministry in the diocese after attending a 2014 conference featuring author Neal Lozano.

“The Unbound experience gave me the opportunity to experience freedom in Christ in a new way,” he said.

Retreats at Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House near Waverly begin with a rosary and Mass at 8 p.m. Friday, and end with Mass and noon lunch on Sunday.
