LINCOLN (SNR) – The 2018 Lenten Series will be held at St. Teresa Church, 735 S. 36th St., Lincoln, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the Mondays of Lent.
The annual series of conferences is sponsored by the Office of Evangelization and is meant for all lay faithful who are seeking a positive way to grow in their faith during the season of Lent.
The theme for this year is: “Personal Connections with the Saints.”
The first event of the 2018 series will be held Feb. 19. Father Steven Mills, assistant pastor of the St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center in Lincoln will present “St. Padre Pio: Teach Me About the Priesthood.”
On Feb. 26, Nicole Barrett of St. John the Apostle Parish will present “Blessed Stanley Rother: A Saint in the Family.”
Fay Fayad, a member of St. Peter Parish in Lincoln, will present March 5. Her talk is entitled “St. Charbel: Holiness from Lebanon.”
Father Benjamin Holdren will present “St. Terese: My ‘Big’ Sister” March 12. Father Holdren is pastor of St. Peter and St. Joseph parishes in Bellwood.
The final talk in the series will be March 19. Father Eric Clark, diocesan master of ceremonies, will present “St. Faustina: Disciple, Mystical Spouse and Apostle of Divine Mercy.”
There is no cost to attend, and all are welcome.
