LINCOLN (SNR) – Subscriptions for the Southern Nebraska Register are collected in parishes throughout the Diocese of Lincoln each February, which was designated as Catholic Press Month in 1931.
The cost per Register subscription is $15 – totaling less than 35 cents per issue – and the rate has not changed since 2010.
Every registered household in the 134 parishes parishes across the diocese – numbering more than 24,000 homes – receives the Register by mail. The Register is published every Friday during the school year, and biweekly in the summer months, giving the diocese more than 40 opportunities each year to reach the home of every registered parishioner with the bishop’s message, as well as local, national and international news.
The Register serves the 134 parishes of the diocese, 32 schools, and numerous other institutions which span nearly 24,000 square miles. National and international news is provided by Catholic News Agency at no cost, and local news stories are written by staff, freelance writers, or gratefully accepted from volunteers at parishes and schools.
