WAHOO (SNR) - Father James Kelleher, SOLT, led Eucharistic adoration and a “Global Living Rosary” with participants leading prayers in different languages at St. Wenceslaus Church in Wahoo Oct. 9.
Often referred to as “the rosary priest,” Father Kelleher has traveled around the world preaching the importance of praying a daily family rosary since 2005.
The Oct. 9 event was part of the second phase of the diocesan Eucharistic Family Rosary Crusade, dedicated to increasing devotion to the rosary, and time spent in adoration. Similar events have been held at other parishes in the Diocese of Lincoln.
In addition to these events, Father Kelleher and the Knights of the Holy Eucharist have traveled to Catholic schools to talk to students about adoration.
In April, Father Kelleher and Bishop James Conley led a rosary around the campus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, attended by more than 4,000.
The culminating event for phase two will be a Eucharistic procession around the Nebraska State Capitol at 3 p.m. Nov. 4, led by Bishop Conley. All are encouraged to attend.
