LINCOLN (SNR) – The St. Teresa Thrift Store will hold its annual “Christmas Boutique” this year at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 6044 South St., Lincoln.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26 and 27.
“Saint Teresa’s ‘shower of roses’ continues to bless our boutique,” said volunteer Rose LeCorgne, “with the addition of a bake sale and lunch provided by the Sacred Heart Church and School Family Association.”
Lunch will be served daily from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
She said the Knights’ Hall will be decked with boughs of holly, Christmas trees, ornaments, crèches, gifts and “toys galore.”
St. Teresa’s Thrift Shop, which benefits both St. Teresa School and Parish in Lincoln, has been in business for more than 35 years. In 2015 they moved to their current location, 643 S. 25th St., Suite 1.
The thrift store tithes $2,000 per month to the parish, and also gives funds toward other projects, such as remodeling in the school and convent. They also give to other charities such as missions and pregnancy centers.
The store is run by the “Thrift Shop Angels,” and more volunteers are always welcome. If interested, please call Cyndi Vestecka at 402-499-7443.
The normal business hours at the 25th and Randolph site are Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The store accepts cash and checks.
