Campus ministry in Nebraska City

NEBRASKA CITY (SNR) – Each week students from the T4:12 Campus Ministry group at Lourdes Central School in Nebraska City do community outreach by visiting The Ambassador Nebraska City nursing home and Nebraska Center for the Education of Children who are Blind or Visually Impaired.

The students visit and play games or do activities with the residents and students. Most recently, they decorated pumpkins with Ambassador residents.

The Lourdes campus ministry program, is known as T4:12 for its reference to the Bible verse 1 Timothy 4:12, “Let no one have contempt for your youth, but set an example for those who believe, in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity.” Other T4:12 Campus Ministry Activities include Lectio Divina Bible study on Sunday evenings, a weekly holy hour, monthly Eucharistic adoration, and service projects.

T4:12 was started in 2004 by four members of the junior class, including Jill Liesemeyer, who is credited with naming the group.
