Spirit Catholic Radio hosting ‘Warm Up Winter’

OMAHA (SNR) – Spirit Catholic Radio in Lincoln (Spirit 102.7-FM) and Hastings (Spirit 91.5-FM) is working to “Warm Up Winter” for the less fortunate by collecting new coats, boots, hats, gloves, mittens and socks for both adults and children.

Items donated to the Warm Up Winter campaign will be donated to Catholic Social Services of Southern Nebraska in Lincoln and Hastings.

“Spirit Catholic Radio’s goal in creating the Warm Up Winter campaign was to help our neighbors,” said Jim Carroll, executive director of Spirit Catholic Radio. “The donated items will be distributed to people across our listening area who have a need for warm, winter items.”

Between now and Dec. 28, donations can be brought to the Spirit 102.7-FM Lincoln studios at 630 N. Cotner Blvd., Catholic Social Services in Lincoln at 2241 O St. and Catholic Social Services in Hastings, 333 W. 2nd St. Items needed include new coats, boots, hats, gloves, mittens and socks for both adults and children.

Spirit Catholic Radio’s mission is to spread the Gospel message to all people and one way the network does this is to be Christ to others by reaching out to those in need. Spirit Catholic Radio is the area’s only Catholic radio network with stations across most of Nebraska, western Iowa and other parts of the Midwest. Spirit Catholic Radio also streams online at spiritcatholicradio.com. The mission is to help all people encounter Jesus.
