Retreat schedule changed

WAVERLY (SNR) - Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House in Waverly announced a change to its originally published schedule.

Sister Anne Marie Walsh, SOLT will lead a retreat Feb. 15-17 for men and women, to encounter healing with Jesus and Mary.

The weekend retreat was first scheduled with Sister Ann Shields, who suffered a stroke last November.

“Your prayers for her long-term recovery and protection are much appreciated,” said Father Gary Coulter, director of the retreat house. “Take this as a reminder not to miss this retreat opportunity as we never know the future.”

Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House offers a peaceful atmosphere of prayer and recollection, situated on a spacious acreage near Waverly, Nebraska.  The facility includes 50 single rooms, each with a private bath.  Retreats include opportunities for meditation, silence, Adoration, the sacraments, and meeting with a prayer team. Retreats typically begin with a Rosary and Mass at 8 p.m. on Friday, and end with Mass on Sunday, followed by lunch.

Other retreats next month for men and women will be held Feb. 1-3, “Unbound” with Father William Holoubek; and Feb. 22-24, “American Saints and Heroic Virtue” with Father Angelus Montgomery CFR.
