LINCOLN (SNR) - People who can say the first half of the Our Father and/or Hail Mary in a foreign language are sought to assist with two upcoming “Global Living Rosary” events in Lincoln.
Fifty-nine people are needed to represent beads prayed during rosary events at St. Peter Church in Lincoln April 4 and at Haymarket Park May 5 are needed. A practice will be held Wednesday, March 13 at 7 p.m. in St. Peter Church.
The rosaries are part of the diocese’s ongoing Eucharistic Family Rosary Crusade, dedicated to increasing devotion to the rosary and now, as part of phase two of the project, time spent in adoration.
The events will be led by Bishop James Conley and Father James Kelleher, SOLT. Father Kelleher has traveled around the world preaching the importance of praying a daily family rosary since 2005. He has led rosary events at several parishes in the Diocese of Lincoln, and has traveled to Catholic schools in the diocese to talk about the rosary and adoration.
