Magnificat of Lincoln plans a prayer meal Oct. 17 in Lincoln.
The event will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Sacred Heart Parish, 31st and T streets, Lincoln.
The morning includes breakfast, prayer, praise and worship, teaching from the chapter’s spiritual advisor Father Robert Barnhill, and testimony and witness from guest speaker, Sarina Stokes.
Stokes founded an apostolate, Kingdom Come, which is devoted to bringing Heaven to earth through encounters with God’s merciful love, primarily through retreats, Spirit-led community gatherings and spiritual direction.
“Nothing is more honoring than accompanying a soul into the Heart of Christ and witnessing His glory unfold in their life,” Stokes said.
More information about the apostolate is available at kingdomcomenow.org. Merchandise will be available for sale at the Oct. 17 event, from Kingdome Come and from Monticello Gifts and Design. Both organizations will donate a portion of proceeds from the sales to Magnificat for future retreats, prayer meals, holy hours for priests, and other events.

Magnificat is a ministry to Catholic women, a private association of the faithful within the Catholic Church under the jurisdiction of the Lincoln Diocese. Women of other Christian faiths are welcome to attend.
Since the first Magnificat prayer meal in New Orleans in 1981, Magnificat has become an international ministry, with chapters currently located in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Malta, Poland, and Africa. Magnificat of Lincoln, the Morningstar Chapter, held its first prayer meal March 9, 1996. The chapter is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
The primary purpose of Magnificat is to help Christian women become more open to the Holy Spirit through a deeper commitment of their lives to Jesus as Lord and to impart the Holy Spirit to one another by love, service and sharing the good news of salvation.
