DENTON (SNR/FSSP) - Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary in Denton announced the ordination to the sacred priesthood of nine transitional deacons from Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary in Denton.
Those to be ordained at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 31 at St. Cecilia Cathedral in Omaha, by His Excellency Athanasius Schneider, Auxiliary Bishop of Astana, Kazakhstan are: Rev. Mr. Daniel Nolan of Guthrie, Okla.; Rev. Mr. Michael Flick of Cincinnati, Ohio; Rev. Mr. Paul Leung of Wan Chai, Hong Kong; Rev. Mr. Joshua Curtis of Naperville, Ill.; Rev. Mr. Robert Dow, Laguna Hills, Calif.; Rev. Mr. Joshua Passo of Omaha; and Rev. Mr. Joseph Heffernan of Bensalem, Penn.
Those to be ordained at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 14 at St. John the Apostle Church in Leesburg, Va. by His Excellency James D. Conley, Bishop of Lincoln, are Rev. Mr. Daniel Heenan of Irondale, Ala. and Rev. Mr. Zachary Akers of Woodbridge, Va. Receptions follow the ordinations.
Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary is the international seminary for English-speaking candidates for the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter. The Fraternity was established in 1988 by Pope St. John Paul II in response to the need for a community of priests to celebrate the Mass and sacraments in the extraordinary form.
