LINCOLN (SNR) - Mario St. Francis, an international Columbian-born speaker, will speak at Cristo Rey Church, 4221 J St., Lincoln, Feb. 1 at 2 p.m.
St. Francis has traveled the world speaking to audiences in five languages - English, Spanish, Italian, Malayalam and even Hindi. A former model in magazines, newspapers, and television, he said his experiences in the industry guided him to want to do something more with his life. He is a motivator in the areas of effective living based on universal morals and values, including such topics as role models, peer pressure, the media, bullies, respect, honor, and dignity. His audiences range in age and demographic, making him an appeal for a wide variety of events. He also shares the faith experiences that brought about his conversion.
St. Francis is well known as the spokesperson and director of media and public relations for WorldYouthDay.com,; as co-director of Youth In Europe Inc., a Catholic youth pilgrimage company; as well as an independent producer. He has led workshops and has been a keynote speaker, retreat master, emcee, and a special guest at hundreds of events worldwide. He has addressed thousands at events in more than 20 countries including the US, Australia, Ireland, the Holy Land, Spain, Gibraltar, Canada, Italy, Greece and Croatia and has visited every continent except Antarctica.
His talk Feb. 1, about the dignity of human life, will be primarily in Spanish. The talk will be for the whole family.
