Adoration program continues to grow

More than 100 sign up at North American Martyrs Parish

LINCOLN (SNR) – Father Victor Warkulwiz of the Missionary Priests of the Blessed Sacrament spoke on perpetual Adoration Feb. 11 and 12 at North American Martyrs Parish in Lincoln.

He also spoke at St. Peter Parish in Lincoln in January, and will speak at Masses at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ in Lincoln March 4 and 5.

Father Warkulwiz lives in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and has taken his message of Adoration to hundreds of parishes in 47 states, Canada, and elsewhere, to establish or maintain perpetual Adoration in those parishes.

North American Martyrs Parish in Lincoln began a program of Adoration in Lent of last year, and sought to add more people to the schedule of adorers, particularly in the overnight hours.

The visit from Father Warkulwiz and resulting sign-ups were very successful, according to pastor Father Brian Connor. He reported that they hoped for 42 people to sign up for overnight hours, and had 49 people commit to do so. In total, people signed up for 123 weekly holy hours.
