LINCOLN (SNR) - The 35th annual Nebraska Walk For Life, sponsored by Nebraska Right to Life, will be held Saturday, Jan. 30.
It will start at 10 a.m. on the west side of the state capitol building in Lincoln with a brief program.
Participants will walk eight blocks through downtown Lincoln arriving indoors at the UNL Student Union at 14th & ‘R’ streets. Pro-life information booths, baked goods and hot beverages will be available at the Union.
At 11:30 in the Union, the keynote speech will be presented by Jane Hampton Cook, Fox News historical commentator.
She is a best-selling author, historian, and columnist known for making history both memorable and relevant to current news and events.
Whether speaking publicly or writing, Jane focuses on topics that transcend generations, such as courage, freedom, patriotism, leadership, faith, communication, and womanhood. She has spoken to a variety of groups, including the White House, Pentagon, U.S. Department of Labor, the Heritage Foundation, as well as professional organizations, political coalitions, universities, schools, and churches. She has been a guest on national and international TV-- Fox News Channel, SKY news, and CBN Newswatch--and more than 80 radio programs throughout the United States.
The Walk is a peaceful, legal event which commemorates the millions of unborn babies who have died through abortion since 1973. It is also an affirmation of the support of the pro-life movement for women and their families who are facing unplanned pregnancies.
