This curriculum of Catholic prayers was developed in response to a request for guidance regarding the form of prayers to be taught, and the age level at which the students could be expected to commit the prayers to memory. While there is no reason a teacher may not teach these prayers earlier than what is scheduled, it is recommended that the prayer forms or translations included in this curriculum be taught in favor of others in order to avoid any confusion and to keep unity in communal prayer.

Included in this document are:

1. Basic tips when teaching prayer

2. The grade levels at which certain prayers should be memorized

3. The standard prayer forms or translations used in the Diocese of Lincoln

This document is a condensed format (one page, front and back) of the prayer forms above. It can serve as a helpful handout to both parents and students.
