This class gives an overview of the Crusades (1095-1270). It highlights the role of pilgrimages to the Holy Land as a result of the 1st Crusade. Further, it shows how God worked through human instruments such as St. Bernard of Clairveaux to bring about spiritual renewal through the Crusades. At the same time, the class discusses the downfalls of humanity illustrated in the Crusades.
